Meeting a friend in North Scottsdale tomorrow (maybe Scottsdale and Shea area?) for breakfast - where do we want to go?

    Butterfield's - Shea & Scottsdale
The Good Egg - Thunderbird & Scottsdale
First Watch - FLW & Scottsdale

A good non-chain option is JP Pancake just a bit south of the Hayden and Shea intersection at Mountain View and Hayden. We love their challah-based French Toast (ask for it with cinnamon and it's even better).

Butterfields Pancake House: Big and clean, with large portions, and very good quality, despite being a franchise (other branches are in Illinois).

Don't forget Taylor's, a good new breakfast place that opened up on Northsight just north of Raintree. Very good food.

I am partial to LE PEEP at hayden and via de ventura. Great family owned joint and they do an amazing job accomodating all guests. I;ve been there with some ridiculously picky people, and the waitstaff makes every effort to please!
