Breakfast in DC

We're staying at the Hotel Monaco near the Chinatown/Gallery Place Metro stop, and we're looking for good breakfast for Saturday and especially Sunday. Early, no buffets. I searched the boards but didn't see anything within walking distance. Also checked out dim sum for Sunday, but the few place listed in the Washington Post's dining guide didn't serve till 11, which is too late for us. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Poste right in the Hotel Monaco is supposed to have a great breakfast/brunch and it opens at 8 am, I think.

Teaism is very near there and opens at 9:30 on weekends, I believe.

I don't know what time Cafe Atlantico opens for their brunch, which I've never had, but you will find recommended frequently on this board. It is also very near your hotel (across the street from Teaism).

On Saturday, though, if you can, I would suggest traveling to Eastern Market for the wonderful Market Lunch breakfast, also recommended frequently here.

I think, but I'm not sure, that the restaurant in your hotel (Poste) does brunch that others have recommended.
