Seeking Pico Boulevard Book...

I swear, I'm either going crazy, or it's been too long since I've eaten an asada burrito at el Nopal -- take your pick.

I recall reading someplace, perhaps years ago, about a food writer who ate -- and reviewed -- every single food establishment along the length of our very own fabled Pico Boulevard.

I'd love to find the book, but google searches leave me lacking. Sadly.

If anyone knows what the heck I'm referring to, please, by all means, enlighten me.

First one with the correct answer gets my leftover El Nopal salsa.

jonathan gold writes about having done that in the introduction to his book "counter intelligence". the reviews of all those pico blvd. establishments aren't included in the book, though. but that's definitely what you're thinking of!

And Counter Intellegince Is now Waaayyyy out of date. Dommy! Showed her Tattered and personally updated copy [she crossed out the closed restaurants which was a lot] to Jonathan at a signing. and He way surprised she was still carrying it around.

Thanks, you two. I actually located "Counter Intelligence" online 'cause I suspected Mr. Gold may have been the author of my fictional Pico Boulevard book.
