Hey Mainers, and others:

Does anybody know what's actually in Gifford's Ice Cream? If it is sold in supermarkets - and they say that it is - has anyone ever looked at an ingredients list? The website is unclear . . .

Many thanks . . .

Hi Zoe,

I don't know about the ice cream, but I buy their vanilla frozen yogurt... it's good and only 1 gram of fat per 1/2 cup. I live in Vermont and buy it at Hannafords. The ingredients are: skim milk, sugar, corn syrup, cream, egg yolks, guar gum, xanthan gum, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, vanilla and active cultures.

Thanks Katie!

I actually had a cone of their raspberry frozen yogurt and thought it was pretty good, and better than their ice cream, which I only tasted. So I should have asked for fro yo info, but that seemed like a long shot!!
