Thoughts on Brazilian and Mexican in Framingham?

foodymom May 30, 2008 09:30 AM

Framingham is full of restaurants, but I have yet to try any of the many Brazilian places (Terra Brasil, Brazzile or Mexican (e.g. the Rincon Latino on Route 126 or the Aztec on Route 135.) I am curious about anyone's opinions on these places.

Brazille is ok. YOu can order the rodizio -where they bring the meat around - but for miuch cheaper you can go to the counter for refills. The salt cod cakes are excellent and the cipharinas (brazilian cocktails made with cashaca) are also very good. Nice owners.

I have tried both Terra Brazilis and Ipanema. Both are excellent.

I've been to both locations of Terra Brasilis in Framingham several times. I prefer the one on Waverly St (135) and have spoken with native Brazilians who agree...food at the other one (across from the Danforth on Union Ave) is a little dumbed-down, I think...both are nice places, good and interesting food (delicious churascco), good value. I have gotten takeout from the Aztec and it was good too--might have been just chips and guac, actually, but we were impressed.

There's a pizza place downtown called Tango Pizza where they make a delicious Brazilian-style (i.e. topped with everything imaginable, sweet and savory) pizza, which they mistakenly call Portuguese pizza. Check that out too.
