ISO The Best Mail Order BBQ

David Kahn May 29, 2008 05:28 PM

I'm hosting a work party next month and want to mail order some phenomenal bbq. In the past, I've gotten the brisket and pork roasts (to make pulled pork) from Willie Ray's (http://www.willyraysbbq.com/mail_orde... ), which have always been great, but before re-ordering, I thought I'd check to see if anyone had something even better. Any suggestions?

The best barbeque I have ever tasted is from:
Their ribs are incredible. Highly recommended. Would call them.

      Hey David,

I've never tried Willy Ray's so can't compare it, but I'd recommend the brisket from Black's BBQ in Lockhart, TX, that is, if they're still doing mail orders of their meat. One of the hounds brought it to the BBQ tasting at Elisha's house many years back, and it blew our local restaurants out of the water. Don't recall you or Mrs. K being at that get together.

Call them, though, because they stopped and started their mail order meat business, and I'm not sure what their status is these days.

I posted about them when I visited a couple years ago:
