Rock Hill Bakehouse

Does anyone else out there just love their sourdough bread? Do they sell directly to the public? I can only find this bread at select Price Choppers. There web site says something about a cafe, but I can't seem to pull up any information on it from the web.

    The bread is made here:
    Rock Hill Bakehouse
    21 Saratoga Rd
    Gansevoort, NY 12831

They have a retail outlet on location.

2 minutes off Northway exit 17N on right,

Thanks! Do you happen to know if they do have a cafe? Sounds like a great place to have lunch.

Great, thanks. I'll have to give the cafe a try and will definately pick up some rolls at Honest Weight.

Yes, we love their sourdough bread (and sourdough rolls). The Honest Weight Food Co-op in Albany sells their goods.

          Hi skipjack,
i'm a fanatic for their bread, too. i especially love the farm bread - wheat or white. it makes an incredible french toast and tastes nearly like candy when simply toasted with butter.

i'm not sure where you live, but it is pretty readily available in the woodstock / kingston area. Adams Fairacre and Hurley Ridge market always have it in stock.

When in Saratoga Springs, pick up their bread (or sandwiches made thereon) at Mrs. London's--if you have room for bread after the pastry overload (Rock Hill is, or was, her husbands bread company.)

I didn't know there was a connection to Mrs. London's. I live in the Capital District so that's great.

Rock Hill Bakehouse is Mike London, who is Mr. London. (Max London's, the new bistro next door to Mrs. London is their son, Max.

              Hannaford carries it regularly.

There are actually some separate breads sold at Mrs. London's that are baked separately from the bakehouse. They're actually baked at a small facility where the London's live-called, you guessed it..Rock Hill, such as their Fire Bread and some others, which are actually the breads not just sold at the bakeshop, but served at Max London's.
