WHO makes the best panini in SF?

Where do you go for an outstanding panini in San Francisco?

    1. I'm not sure they call their grilled sandwiches panini, but both the grilled and all the other sandwiches at the Blue Barn on Chestnut Street in the Marina are all outstanding. I think I've had them all and haven't found a loser.

      1. I haven't been in a while but the Paninoteca del Palio d'Asti on Montgomery near Pacific always had nice simple panini, grilled at your option.

        1. I really like the panini at Avedano's on Cortland. The menu for the month is on their website.

The paninis at Apollo Coffee in NoPa are amazing - always made to order, served crispy hot on thin crusted Ciabatta or Foccaccia breads, with some nice toppings like the Mediterranean Grilled Turkey (visualize: pesto, olives, succulent sun-dried tomatoes with a hint of fresh garlic aroma) ...
