New Rays the steaks?

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but does anyone know about what's up with the space nearby Rays the steaks? Its in the same plaza as Ray's, one spot from Pho 75. You look in and there are references to Ray's the steaks with the 2004 washingtonian award near the door and the sign on the main window asking deliveries to be dropped off at Ray's the Steaks. Anybody know what's up?

apparently they are also opening up a ray's the classics down the street in the navy league building, next to five guys.

I had heard months ago that Ray's was moving to a bigger space in the Navy League building near courthouse, but I have no idea if they are going to keep that space or not.

From a source neither thoroughly unreliable nor entirely discreditable. Imagine the choice scraps that must pile up every day when ML trims those delicious corn-fed aged steaks! Just sayin'.
