More New Dumplings

  • 3

These are heady times for local dumpling lovers as another enterprise pops up with its grand opening. MX Restaurant is located closer to the Luscious Dumplings axis, about a mile east on the corner of Las Tunas and San Gabriel, at 708 E. Las Tunas Dr., #B (right next to Red Corner). I guess the highlight of the MX menu is eight different types of pork dumplings, including varieties with lotus, fennel and green beans. They also have beef dumplings, a somewhat less commonly seen dumpling choice, which are uncharacteristically dry and also seasoned differently from what I've usually seen. On the non-dumpling side of the menu, the most interesting item might be the cumin lamb chow mein or maybe the tofu and rice strip soup. They also have beef rolls, but these do not compare to those of 101 Noodle Express.

  1. How are the beef dumplings seasoned? Any noodle dishes (othe than the aforementioned chow mein)?

As always, thanks for the heads up.

Not sure exactly how they seasoned the beef. Sort of tastes like the beef roll. Only other chow mein dish is with chicken.

    2. The pork dumplings with fennel and lotus sound tasty.
