Tapas, particularly w/Marcona almonds

I'm hosting a lingerie shower and am doing a tapas menu. One thing I'd like to use is Marcona almonds. Does anybody have any recipes for tapas w/ Marcona almonds?

  1. I just got Penelope Casas' Tapas book from the library, and the marcona almond recipe is super simple -- basically, you deep fry whole peeled blanched almonds (preferably marconas) until they are a light golden color, drain and season with coarse ground salt.

      And that's how I usually find them in the store - sometimes with far too much oil though. I've actually never seen them in their "raw" state here.

        I agree that is all they need! Try some membrillo paste, chorizo & manchego along side. Yummm...
