Albuquerque fine dining

Since we always eat cheap, ethnic, and/or New Mexican, and have lived here only a year, I am at a loss where to take my husband for his birthday. Here are some recommendations thrown out by the peanut gallery ... any opinions? The food is far more important to us than the setting, but it is a special occasion; on the other hand, I don't want to spend a fortune if the same quality can be had for less. Thanks!

Zinc Wine Bar
Artichoke Cafe
Corn Maiden at the Hyatt
Prairie Star (at Santa Ana)
Scalo's (Nob Hill)
Savoy (on Montgomery)

Zinc is great, my parents always go there and get the duck confit eggrolls which are apparently amazing. Yanni's is great, greek food in a nice atmosphere.

It's funny, I lived in albuququerque for 4 years and I go back to visit every year, but when I go there, I rarely dine at a fancy restaurant with the exception being zinc and yannis, both close to my parents house. I have heard that it's kind of expensive but the Fire Station is also good.

When we were out from LA last year visiting a friend we went out to Indigo Crow Cafe in Corrales for dinner one night, and I thought the food and the setting were both excellent. It was too cold then to sit on the patio, but if the weather permits that might be a nice option.

I've had good experiences at Zinc in both the food and wine department. Have not been to any of the others but will be coming to town this weekend and dining at Artichoke. I'll post afterwards.
