flour cakes and flowers
I finally went to check out this store...ok...I also went to buy a cupcake!!!
I knew I would be eating it right away, so I thought to myself, I would have one bite and then go enjoy the rest with a coffee. Needless to say, I never got a coffee!!
I selected a "fleur de sel" chocolate cupcake..that was p-e-r-f-e-c-t....it had a carmel centre and just the right moistness, sweetness, saltiness, ooyiness (is that a word?).
Has anyone else been?...
p.s. I also think they did a fantastic job with the space...its just so pretty!!

I agree the store is adorable. But the cupcakes I purchased were getting more and more moist as they were on my counter -- a total of three days. This tells me they use cake mix because cake made from scratch usually forms a dry crust after 24 hours. Also the icing is not real buttercream because it had a gritty texture to it; a sign of icing sugar. But for $2.50 a cupcake, it is 'good value for money' if you don't mind the quality of ingredients.

I went there a few months ago when I happened to be in the neighbourhood. It was in the afternoon so they had run out of the fleur de sel chocolate cupcake - boo! But I tried four (yes, I'm a pig): chocolate mint, peanut butter chocolate, carrot and strawberry. Surprisingly, my favourite was strawberry and I'm not normally a strawberry cupcake fan. I was told they use strawberry puree in it. I also bought some flowers while I was there (don't ask me what they were as I am totally useless when it comes to plants). Oh, and yes, the space is very pretty! I will go back when I'm over that way again.
