Odd uses for kitchen items

As I was cleaning my garlic press, I was wondering if it has any other uses than just garlic. With that--- what kitchen item do you use for something other than the name intends & how?

For example, a potato ricer can be used to drain items like frozen spinach.

personally i think the garlic press is one of the most useless kitchen gadgets in existence, but i'm sure you could use it for crushing ginger.

I use an egg slicer to slice mushrooms. Never eggs.
I squeeze lemons and limes with a pair cooking tongs.
I use my GF grill as a panini press. And only for that use.

Davwud, I use a tomato slicer to slice hard cooked eggs. Seldom use it for tomatoes. For them I use a serrated knife, which I also sometimes use to slice soft breads.

I believe I used it for minced shallots once too.

In old comic strips, a rolling pin was often hurled at misbehaving husbands.

Pots and pans perform the same task.

I also use my potato ricer to drain the water out of & separate the leaves of artichoke hearts in a kind of smushy way.

I also use the bottom of a mayonnaise jar to smash cloves of garlic to break the skin.
