50 th Birthday-Chefs Table for 10 to 12

Any suggestions in LA. Our friends husband turning 50. Money not a problem but nothing to outrageous. Orange County suggestions also.

Nothing too outrageous doesn't exactly set the parameters you are thinking of, but that said:

Bel Air Hotel on Stone Canyon Dr. has a wonderful Chef's Table. Providence on Melrose has had many excellent reviews here for their Chef's Table. Finally, if those prove too rich for your budget then Joe's on Abbot Kinney may be a good fit.

I don't know if any of those places will fit 10 -12 at the chef's table. They will do the chef's tasting menu at a table suited to seat the large number, though.

Good point, Diana. I figure that this is going to be a phone call and detailed discussion so the number issue should come up and be disposed of early on in the mix.
