NW Detroit: best liquor store?

Alcachofa May 25, 2008 05:23 PM

Hi, I am looking for the closest bottle of Fernet Branca to Lake Orion. Would anyone know where I could pick some up?

So I guess I'm not necessarily looking for the best selection, just a place with Fernet! :o) Thanks.

Beverage Warehouse at 13 MIle and Greenfield (Southfield or Beverly Hills) will try and get you anything, as will Holiday Market (Main st. downtown RO). Or check out winebuys.com; good service will get you what you need.

Thanks. Unfortunately I can't order it. It is possible a huge place would have it. Any huge places between Lake Orion and Troy?

Have you tried Nino Salvaggio's in Troy. They will order anything, if they don't have it. Also, Papa Joe's in Rochester might carry it.

Hands down, Rag Wagon. There are two locations. One in Rochester Hills (corner of Auburn Rd and Rochester Rd) and then one in Clawson on Livernois and 14 mile. Try calling them as I have made some special orders with them. Pretty accomodating.

There's a very well stocked party store on the SE corner of Walton and Adams--Mr. Pizza Bootleg. I don't know specifically about FB, but their selection of other liquors is quite deep. (248) 375 1111

OK, maybe a bit out of your way but Champanes wine cellar in Warren on 13 mile between Mound and VanDyke is the largest wine retailer in the STATE, 6th largest in the country. http://www.champanes.com/ It is like walking into Costco for wine, beer and liquor, the staff is very knowledgable and the store is nicely laid out... my only gripe is they are not open late enough...
