Avoiding Mother's Day crowds...

ChicagoKat May 24, 2008 09:15 AM

Can anyone recommend casual and reasonable places for lunch or dinner that a) will be open tomorrow and b) won't be overrun with those out with their moms...would prefer to stay in the Latin Quarter/St. Germain des Pres areas. Thanks!

Mothers Day was early in May and I don't think Paris celebrates Memorial Day which is Monday

Mothers day is tomorrow in France. But I am not aware that it is a big issue in restaurants. Sunday is, especially in the latin quarter.

I apologize for the cultural gap....should have checked my France facts and had no idea that the Hallmark holiday which is Mothers Day was a moveable feast... BTW it is a dreadful day to dine out in the States ...sorry
