I agree with Rachel. Cowboy ciao is great, as is Rancho Pinot. Wildfish is spendy and not that special. Scottsdale and Phoenix have a TON of great local places - skip any chains - even the upscale ones. Romantic places in that area include T Cooks at the Royal Palms and Lons at the Hermosa Inn - both are reasonably close and unforgettable dining. Olive and Ivy is good, but very loud and "scene" ish. check out the Cowboy Ciao site - they own several places on that block - all are great. hope you have a great time!
Was at Roaring Fork last night, sit in the bar and get great discounted apps and drink specials.
If you have a car then head to the waterfront area, nice places and shopping. You might want to checkout NOCA, local foodies paradise now. We are heading to Zinc Bistro at Kierland this evening, I will have the best Steak Frite on the west coast.
Had lunch at Olive and Ivy on Monday, their burger was great and dw always loves to go their.
You can't go wrong with any of these places. There are also tons of great options throughout downtown Scottsdale (just south of Scottsdale Fashion Square) - some personal favorites: Breakfast Club, Cowboy Ciao, Kazimierz Wine Bar, Wildfish, Malee's, Grazie, Su Vino Winery, Daily Dose (for lunch), the list goes on. Have a great trip!
