Does anyone know where they sell inexpensive 5 gallon or bigger crocks?
I'm looking for a pretty big one to ferment some pickles, tomatoes and sauerkraut?
I found some online, but they are pretty steep in price ($195).
Thanks

Its been a while since I've been to the North End, but I remember that hardware store very well. It wasn't a True Value then, but they did have the crocks! I thought the place was long gone and replaced by condos.
        Thanks

Thanks, I'll be making the trip to the NE tomorrow.

        2. Try any China Fair. Also, online....Anchor Hocking brand.

true value north end. I got 3 bluebird crocks there last year. I couldn't find them anywhere else...

          2. West Concord 5&10 used to sell them.

This same exact topic came up last October, and you recommended the West Concord 5&10 at that time; unfortunately, they don't seem to sell crocks any longer.

Touche! I am sorry. Thanks for pointing that out, wouldn't want anyone to go on a wild goose chase.

i started the topic last year, the 5&10 doesn't sell them. Trust me I searched high and low, true value north end. save yourslef the trouble....
