If the 2 of you order 3 courses each and share them, what you have is in effect a 6 course tasting. IMO even the a la carte prices are more than they should be, though I did enjoy the food. I don't agree that the a la carte prices are too high, though. They're in line with most high-end restaurants in manhattan... lower than some, in fact.
