where can i buy tasty chorizos in bawwstonn?
hello! it is my chilean boyfriend's birthday and i would love to make some semi-authentic choripanes!
all of the chorizos that i have found at the standard grocery stores aren't like the small and yummy ones that i ate in chile. any recommendations of a good brand or a store where i can buy some little and GOOD chorizos?
thank you so much!

Most supermarkets sell Portuguese chourico which is a bit different than the many types of latin american chorizos. I assume you want fairly small, short links of smoked (not fresh) chorizo. What I would go for in the area is one of the brands of Columbian style chorizo brought up from NYC. La Internacional in Somerville usually has some as well as Tony's Foodland, HiLo in JP... and we have had a number of threads discussing other latin american markets. Look around a bit at those stores before selecting, La Internacional for instance will usually have several types of guatemalan chorizo and sometimes salvadoran, etc. And don't be afraid to ask for recommendations/suggestions.
If you want something a bit more upscale, the Smokehouse in Mattapan makes some nice chorizo (they make spanish style, but I have gotten mexican style smoked chorizo from them). Either at their outlet in Norwell or someone mentioned Savenors sells it, but in either case call first.
For really little chourico, the Portuguese style is available in mini-weener size links at a few markets (Johnny's Foodmaster), but I have never seen Latin American chorizo that small in the area.

Both Formaggio Kitchen and Savenor's Market in Cambridge sell chorizo, so I'm guessing their Boston locations do as well.
