Take My Baby......

Having just started getting into Bell's beers here in NC, particularly the Double Hearted Pale Ale........I was also just turned onto Dales Pale Ale......I was wondering how difficult it is for the Micro's to turn their "babies " over to the different distributor's.......I know Carol Stoudt pulled out of the Carolina market for being less than thrilled with the handling of her product.....I know that the Bell's I've been sampling says it is unpasteurized....yet I know it isn't continuously refrigerated.......many on these beer threads talk about "sealed" cases.....
How much oversight do Micro's have on the handling of their products.......where do they begin to roll the dice in terms of sales...versus the integrity of their products.....as consumers do we really have a voice in passing along concerns about the products that are reaching us? Do the distr. have any conscience with regards to product quality.......or is it all about the bottom line....
Many of the quality brews that CH's have rec. aren't available her in NC.. ie Sly Fox, Troegs, Goose Island.....how much has to do with distr. concerns...end user quality...etc etc
