Bo de Duyen -- new location?

CuriousCat May 21, 2008 03:04 PM

Was driving to the Loblaw's on Dundas West a couple of weeks ago, and could swear that I saw a sign saying "Bo De Duyen" on the west side of Dundas, a bit south of Bloor, but I just got the briefest glimpse. Is this their new location? Can anyone verify if they are up and running?

I found a website reporting that the new location would be 1997 Dundas St W, east of Roncesvales. But I've been hearing this since last fall; based on the bare-bones decor of their old location, I would be surprised that it would take more than half a year to set up the new space.

Shame... I really liked their food, and I'm not even a vegetarian!

Yes, this is (apparently) their new location. However, their opening seems to have been delayed tremendously from their original estimate (1 month after closing in the fall!)

I've been waiting *anxiously* for them to re-open, but no luck yet.

In the meantime, I've been heading to Simon's Wok in East Chinatown for a similar fix...but it's not nearly as good as Bo's.

Thanks for your help. I too am not vegetarian, but I really enjoy (and am craving) their food. I guess I'll check out Simon's Walk and Buddha's Vegetarian on Dundas to see if that'll cure the craving, thanks for the suggestion!
