I have to be in Smittown on Saturday - anyplace nearby for lunch. Open to all - price points, cuisine, etc.. Last tiem I was there - I went to a thia place which was good - I guess I could go back there, but would liek to try someplace new.

I am driving back to bayside - so I guess any place on the way back is also an option.

Thanks

Lower priced italian american good food=La Scala, Motor Parkway, near Commack Road intersection. http://www.serveyourfamily.com/lascala/
La Scala owners also have a place in Smithtown village, Buona Sera.

A little more expensive, nicer room, varied italian menu , Mario Restaurant, about 2 miles east of La Scala also on Motor Pkwy, near LIE exit 55. http://www.restaurantmario.com/index....

If you do not want a fancy gourmet lunch, you may want to try Maureen's Kitchen in St James. Check if they are open for lunch on Saturdays. Excellent comfort food. Big portions and delicious.

On Route 111 and Maple Avenue is Salsa Salsa. Nice Mexican food, good taste.

Both places have very reasonable prices for top-notch food.

Thanks for the suggestions. Isn't Maureens mobbed on the weekends by a brunch crowd.

Mirabelle - in St. James, NY, just east of Smithtown on Rt. 25A. I haven't been in years, but it was delightful when I last went.

Thanks, but they aren't open for lunch on Saturdays.
