Hi there,

I need to get some custom shaped cookies made. Well we want them in the shape of a starfish with those silver balls. I was looking into cookies by design but was wondering if anyone had a good local bakery they can recommend? This is for a company gift so they want to send a dozen decent sized cookies individually wrapped.

Any suggestions appreciated. Anything on the Westside would be a plus!

Thanks all :)

Melody Brandon owns a company out of Long Beach called Sweet & Saucy. Her cookies are absolutely beautiful! You can see her work on her blog here: http://www.mysweetandsaucy.com/ Just click on the "Cookies" link under the categories. She specializes in custom desserts and I am sure she can come up with a great corporate gift package! She also has a business website which is currently under remodeling, but you still can get her contact info from it:

I ended up going with Melody and she was a pleasure to work with. She was professional and friendly at all times. We got great feedback from our client on the way the cookies looked and taste. I hope to get to use her again sometime soon.

Thanks for the recommendation. :)

You could try http://www.cookiesbydesign.com/

Yes, a chain, but they do make star shaped cookies.

Those little silver balls, I think they called Drages, are illegal in the US, due to possibly dangerous metal content. Some bakers manage to sneak them in,
