Anybody been since the new chef took over (I guess late last year)?

I was there right around new years. I'm pretty sure this was after the chef change as I remember the menu being pretty similar to the current menu. I was suspicious of the place as my party (of 3) was literally the only occupied table in the dining room the night that I went but the food was good across the board. My steak was excellent and well prepared. I ended up being pretty surprised that the restaurant wasn't doing a more brisk business but maybe I was just there on a slow night? For example, Bistro Liaison is just three blocks away, has a similar style of food, is not as good as La Rose, but seems to be consistently busy. Anyway, I think La Rose is probably the best place in that neighborhood for continental-genre food without going south to La Note or north to Chez.
