Does anyone have any recommendations for good, reasonably priced sushi party trays in the downtown area? I just found out that my standby (Sushi Queen) is currently closed for renos. Thanks!

  1. Ho Su at Queen & John is great. We used to get the platters at work and while I do not know the price I know the people that ordered them are cheap :-) and they were very good...

You should take a look at what other Hounds have said about Ho Su. Quite frankly I'd rather eat in a toilet.

Ok show me some posts because I do not remember seeing any bad reviews....

I did a search and could not find any other chow posts that back up your statements.. most say it is a great place to get cheap Korean / Japanese food... I see you always hype Daio but I did not even see you mention Ho Su before..

I find Ho Su's portions large, the ingredients fresh, the service quick, the prices cheap and the staff amazingly friendly...

It seems the previous posts have been inexplicably extricated. Suffice to say they prompted me to do a little extra homework on Ho Su and, no, I'd never walk into the place.

And if you read the other posts there are just as many posiitive copmments... and I always take with a grain of salt what "EX" employees say... they tend to be disgruntled..

OnDaGo, I agree that disgruntled ex-employees may not be the best source. I did some research outside of this board. Didn't like what I found.

Try to search for Hosu. This one says they reuse their bachan

      2. at my house the faves are sushi 930 (king and strachan) and sushi marche in the (queen east). not really the king spadina area but the quality to price value is worth the drive imo.
