I love Redd
I just wanted to share how happy I am to have gone to Redd this past weekend. Everything about it was amazing! We were in the Napa area for my husband's 30th. We got to start... the pork belly and beet salad - both impeccable! For our entrees we share the Alaskan halibut and the NY steak and shortribs -- fantastic! Finally, for dessert, we got the mango, coconut sorbets with the lime granita. We loved it here and will come back!
I'll be there next Tuesday for the second time. The first time we ate there my wife and I did the tasting menu with wine pairing. We had a total of ten different 'tastes' and ten different wines. It was one of my all time favorite meals.
Congrats! Redd is probably overall our favorite restaurant in the area. We think it has the best tasting menus out there for the price (and the place isn't full of itself either) even if they don't try to go out too far out on a limb. The soy glazed pork belly is probably my wife's favorite appetizer in the area.
Yes! The pork belly is like candy! So sweet and salty at the same time. And whenever beet salad in on the menu, I HAVE to get it! Next time we're there, we'll have to do the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Honestly, I think one of the best things about this place is the atmosphere... really nice without being pretentious. I love it there!
