Going on a roadtrip from DC to Charleston over Memorial Day weekend, traveling along I-95. Could anyone advise if there are good places to stop along the way for meals/snacks?

Charleston SC or WV? Regardless I'd suggest posting on the South board for better responses.

    Happy travels.

Parker's Barbecue, and Bills Barbecue in Wilson NC. If you can get further off 95 Wilbers Barbecue in Goldsboro is awesome.

Also check out http://www.hollyeats.com he may have some good tips.

There is an all you can eat buffet called Ryan's Steakhouse that have a few places right off 95, which can do in a pinch. Decent entrees, good sides and desserts. Also, check out http://www.chow.com/tour/176

btw, in charleston, gullah cuisine in mt. pleasant is recommended by my nephew and his wife. i hear they have a good buffet: http://www.gullahcuisine.com/
they say they go often after church. knowing them, it has to be good value for money.

3rd Street Diner in Richmond is a must! try the grilled donut.
Carl's or Sammy T's in Fredericksburg are longtime staples.
Wilber's BBQ in Goldsboro NC will not let you down.
                  Promise.
