SF: great beer + fine dining?

My BF's birthday is coming up and he LOVES beer. I've got reservations at Aziza now for the date, but are there any other great restaurants in town that also have great beer lists? I know Anchor & Hope has some goodies, but we just went there.

We love Aziza, but we've been there many many times. I'd love to surprise hime with a place we've never been to before.

Just to throw another idea in the mix ... the Slanted Door has a truly fine beer list - mostly really great Belgiums. It goes so very well with Vietnamese food.

bar crudo comes to mind. the place is teeny-tiny but cool as can be. they know beer and they know small plates. deb and i really like this place.

Brilliant! This place has been on our list forever, and *just* the other day he said he really liked crudo. Plus, he loves the Tunnel Top bar. Oh he'll never see it coming. Thanks, steve h.!
