The pumpkin bisque with parmesan spaetzle, lobster, and a garnish of toasted pumpkin seeds was excellent. The bisque had a slightly smoky note to it, either from the roasting of the pumpkin or the seeds, and the lobster retained good flavor and texture. The spaetzle were great. The portobello and goat cheese tart looked good, although I didn't taste it. The roasted halibut was very nice, on a puree perhaps of celeriac, or else very soft potatoes with celery essence. I remember the flavor and texture, but not the description on the menu. My companions had the roasted chicken, the hanger steak, the tuna, and the lamb and everyone was happy. The polenta pineapple upside down cake with lime ice cream was one of the best high end restaurant desserts I've had in a while. The warm dense cake had an appealing slightly gritty polenta texture, with a brittle caramelized slice of pineapple on top and a scoop of very good lime ice cream melting on top of that. The tarte tatin was also a nice example of its kind. The artisanal cheese plate with figs and raisin pecan toast was Fantastic The wine selection was good, with a large variety of wines available by the glass, including many styles of wine and a good price range. The room was a bit noisy, even though it was never really full, because it is so "hard". There are granite tables, no carpet, big windows, and nothing to absorb the noise. The service was very good.
