Napa/Sonoma/Healdsburg Farmer's Market

Going to be vacationing in Bodega Bay in July and wanted to visit Farmer's Markets in the area. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    1. Sebastopol and Occidental will be the closest markets to Bodega Bay. Sebastopol is fun and delicious, a full morning if you take in a swing 'round Main Street - an upscale place.

And don't forget the farms themselves:

      1. Certified California farmers market by market day. Search on Sononma county or Napa county

Since you mention Napa and Healdsburg I am guessing you are planning to go to those areas on your trip. Healdsburg has one of the better markets. The town square Tuesday night market in Sonoma is a nice one. Small but there is music and people picnic on the town square.

        1. The Sunday market at the Marin Civic Center in San Rafael is widely considered one of the best in the Bay Area. It's about an hour's drive from Bodega Bay, but so are Sonoma and Healdsburg.

          1. The Napa Farmer's Market has a different feel to it with all of the Oxbow Market development. In fact, it's moved across the street to the Oxbow/Copia parking lot. Some local purists hate it because of the tourist feel that Oxbow brings, but we've never cared much for who it was built for. We just like to eat :-) , and the Oxbow Market does have some tasty stores in there.

In previous years, the Tuesday Napa's Farmer's Market was the better one to go to rather than the Saturday one. I think it had more vendors and better selection (for instance, they had this great mushroom stall that I never found on Saturdays), but I don't know about the Oxbow version.
