Dinner Recs(Calgary)

The parents are coming in to town for the end of the month... I was wondering whats good for 15-25pp on a friday night for dinner... Im thinking a restaurant with variety(I usually go for the sandwich, mom the pasta and dad the heavy meat) A salad bar would be great but not overly important...

Right now Im considering:

-The Red Door
-The Keg
-Milestones

It would be nice to see some creativity in the menu as well as a refreshing location(it will likely be hot ;) )

Also some russian might be considered(some good perogi ect) But probably not Skazka!

This doesn't answer your question, but I have to ask: Are there salad bars anywhere these days? Aside from Old Country Buffet et al, I mean?

M.T. Tuckers has a salad bar. As an aside, I would also recommend their Sunday brunch as one that would please pretty much anyone.

Smuggler's Inn also has a salad bar. They also do a good steak. Aside from the beef options, though, I can't really remember what else is on the menu (i.e. whether or not they have sandwiches and pasta).

What you really need to find is a place that serves heavy meat pasta sandwiches.

        :P

How about the place across from McMahon Stadium, I think it is called Nick's.
