DC Help this weekend

I have cousins coming to town and the familty wants to get together. There will be 8 of us on Saturday night. Some of us are very adventurous eaters.... others not at all. We'll be staying at Rhode Is. and 17th. Moderate pricing. Any suggestions?

Thanks

How about Hank's Oyster Bar? It's a bit tight in there, but if you go early or late you may be able to get a table. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but the oysters are the best around. It's at 17th St. and R St (?) i think.

You're not that far from the Tabard Inn at 17th and N. Definitely go there -- if not for dinner, then one of the best, if not the best brunch in DC.

sounds like you are staying at the doubletree? we had a recent meal at 15ria right there in the hotel that was quite good.

The Beacon Hotel (Bar & Grill?), right near there works. It's no home run, but decent food and a decent price.

If you want to stay close to that area, Raku on 19th & Q is good for groups and moderately priced. Sushi and pan-Asian, so there's something for everyone.
