Blue Marlin West ~ Palmdale, CA + Pics

Based on a Chowhound recommendation, and since we were in Palmdale last Friday evening we decided to try this Restaurant, Blue Marlin West!
Wow! It was great, it is located on West Palmdale, on Rancho Vista Blvd.
We arrived late, almost at their closing time, but they were happy to serve us, and with no rush at all.
There was live soft music playing, electric guitar, which was nice without being uncomfortably loud.

The food was great, we ordered the seafood gumbo, it was full of flavor. Captain G.O's Seafood Platter - Fried, everything included in that LARGE combination tasted great. My favorites were the fried calamari, and the soft shell crab. We also ordered a Fried Chicken platter, it came with collard greens, and mashed potatoes, also very good, excellent southern fried chicken. Our meal started with a side dish of cole slaw, included with our order, it was some of the best cole slaw that I have tried.

They bring you a dish of boiled peanuts to eat while you wait for your food, this was the first time that I eat boiled peanuts, they were very tasty.
We also ordered lemonade spritzer, they were very good, and you could actually see the lemon zest.

We were so full to order dessert, but we will be back, hopefully soon.

The service was excellent, our drinks were never empty, food came fast, the restaurant is small, but nice and clean.
The owner came to check on us, she is an extremely nice and genuine lady.

I am including photos, please take a look.

Give it a try, in my opinion it's worth the drive to West Palmdale.

Great review and pictures. (I love this place; it's a little hidden gem out in Palmdale.)
