DENVER -- Monday Brunch on Memorial Day
I will be visitng Denver over the Memorial Day weekend with family for a graduation (staying in the Cherry Creek area). Could someone please make a recommendation for a great restaurant where we could grab brunch on Monday, Memorial Day -- that's the only open time our graduate has for a family gathering. It doesn't need to be in the Cherry Creek area. Thanks.

Brunch will probably be hard to come by on a Monday but here are a few tasty breakfast spots (you might want to double check where you plan to go anyway just in case they are closed for the holiday...)
Benedict's (Arapahoe Road/Greenwood Village)
Lucille's (Central Denver)
Racine's (Speer/Central Denver)›1 Reply-
re: Heyteacher
One thing you DON'T want to do on Memorial Day morning is come into Boulder, with is jammed with tens of thousands of Bolder Boulder runners/walkers.
Because Memorial Day IS a holiday, some places that usually just serve weekend brunch might also do so on that particular Monday.

Not sure what you mean by Monday brunch—are you looking for a place that'll be serving breakfast as well as lunch items? The only place I can think of offhand that serves real brunch on weekdays is Lucile's

and maybe Watercourse would qualify too.http://www.watercoursefoods.com/menu.php
Is this a special celebration meal?
But I've only been to the Boulder location of the former, so can't comment on it; as for the latter, it's good but not great and very casual.›1 Reply
