Need Recs for LaQuinta/Palm Desert

Philly May 17, 2008 08:56 AM

Heading out to LaQuinta for 5 days in the beginning of June. Need recs for dinners-casual to upscale, but must be great food. Also, any happy hour bar suggestions would be appreciated. Looking to stay in the Palm Desert/LaQuinta area, since hotel is in LaQuinta. Researching this Board, I have come up with Cork Tree, Fusion One 11 and Pacifica.

Please let me know your thoughts on the above and any others.

Many thanks!!!

Rendezvous to Desert Sage last week for dinner..chilean sea bass was outstanding and the Blankiet Estate Cab was one of the best wines I have ever had.
Thank's so much for your suggestion!

Roy's in Rancho Mirage is not far. We have a place in LQ and we also like LG's. They do tableside Cesar Salad.

Very casual and down beat is the Beer Hunter, we like to go there for a pitcher and a sandwich. it is very downscale, but the chicken wings and sandwiches are very good.

Thanks--We will definitely stop by the Beer Hunter.

Don't expect much, lots of tv's, but they put a frozen stick in the pitchers to keep them cold.
