The grilled squid is impeccably fresh, there a very slight hint of sweetness. It's a pretty big squid, but only very slightly chewy, perhaps the texture helped by the nice scoring to bring out the curls once it it cooked. Goes well with the plenty of olive oil as well as aubergines and sweet grilled onions. Satisfying.
Simple is good -- the whole roasted sea bass is moist on the inside, cooked just right. The skin is crispy, and the head is intact, meaning I get to tease out the little bits that I like, especially the soft eyes and the lovely piece of flesh at the back of the neck. It's a great pleasure to suck the last moist morsels off the bone. Comes with garlic and rosemary potatoes that are just ok. Best part: the pan juices are served in a little bowl on the side. Great for dipping.
An ok alto adige, with a reasonable dryness to go with the fish.
Dessert was a wobbly vanilla dotted panna cotta with a berry sauce and berries. Basic but nicely made, if a little sloppily plated.
Was pleasantly surprised, may actually go back to try again.
