Chop House Grille-Greensboro

Good shrimp cocktail. Delicious crab cake appetizer but accompanying butter beans were undercooked, hard, and too salty. Side of spinach almost inedible due to excess garlic and salt. Why do chefs think they must pour salt on everything? Why even put salt shakers on the tables?

Rumors abound that this NC chain is in serious financial trouble.

Hopefully, you sent your inedible food back for a refund.

I know some locations are underperforming but others are doing very well. No different than a lot of chains. I would be very surprised that this chain is in serious finacial trouble.

The company that owns Chop House restaurants is being sued by Southern Foods for $500,000 for not paying their bills.

The owners of this chain have deep pockets. There could be other issues other than not being able to pay. I will say I dont think the CHG concept has gone over too well and I would not be surprised to see some of them close.

The Cary location is right around the corner from my house. The prices have kept me away sandwiches $9 at lunch $14 at dinner; dinner entrees start at $18.

Why am I supposed to want to eat at this high priced casual restaurant?
