toronto hound needs quick meal near tube stop:Tower Hill

redhead May 15, 2008 04:43 PM

actually I lie, my husband needs the meal and he is certainly no chowhound..he does however appreciate food that is cheap and cheerful and of large portion...he will be in London for a quick walking tour and Tower Hill seems to be a start/end point. Can anyone suggest something comfortable and pub-ish for him? Poor boy will be all alone without his restaurant finder (moi) and could use some help...many thanks!

This is my fave. place near there. Check opening times though.

Superb value wines, but the help-yourself buffet lunch is U$ 30+. In fact this is in the financial district and to find anywhere to sit down and eat properly for much less might be tough.
