Ohio Help: Newark/Heath/Columbus area

This Saturday, May 17, I may need to find a decent restaurant for eight people in the Newark/Heath, Ohio area. We could venture a bit closer to Columbus but would want to stay on the northeast side of the metro.

The only factor complicating choice of venue is the participation of a 5th grader and a 6th grader who are notoriously picky eaters. The adults are just interested in good, fresh food. Steakhouse or pizza place fine as long as the latter has some decent pastas and salad.

Thanks!

    Here are some suggestions:

http://www.clarksdiningroom.com/ Clark's Dining Room is at corner of Rt. 40 & Rt. 13 in Jacksontown, maybe 5-10 min from Heath. They are an old roadhouse on the National Road. They serve fresh, homemade food family style but have a very limited menu (fried chicken is their specialty). The homemade pie is great.

There is an Amish restaurant in Newark, the name of which doesnt readily come to mind. They have a large menu, simple, plain food, I know they have a all you can buffet as well as menu options.

In Granville, OH there is the Granville Inn (http://www.granvilleinn.com/), Buxton Inn (http://www.buxtoninn.com/), Victoria's and a new bistro place that we haven't yet tried.

In Newark there is the Natoma http://www.thenatoma.com/ and the Manna http://www.themannarestaurant.com/ind...

If it were me with 2 kids, I would take them to the Arboretum on Rt. 13 (just north of Rt. 40 on Rt. 13) and let them run around first, then have dinner at Clark's. Can't imagine they wouldn't like fried chicken, mashed potatoes and homemade pie.
