Carlitos Gardel - Quality of Meat

  • 4

I was thinking of going to Carlitos Gardel on Melrose and I wanted to find out the quality of the meat they serve.

Is it on par with the meats they serve at the big steakhouses such as Mastro's, Ruths Chris, The Palm, etc?

Do they serve mid-western corn fed beef, grass fed beef?

Is it USDA Prime?

Do they age their steaks?

The only other Argentinean steaks I have had were from El Raigon in San Francisco. It was phenomenal, they used grass fed beef, can't recall if it was aged though.

  1. Don't think it is prime, but cheaper and very tasty.

    1. Carlitos Gardel is pretty darn good, I thought its meat tastier than Palm's but a cut below Ruth Chris'. I haven't been to Mastro's. I don't remember the technical specs of its meat.

        I have no idea. (IHNI)

IHNI, and I couldn't care less ( ICCL)

        IHNI & ICCL

Like a good wine. If I like it a lot, I like it a lot.
Grapes? Vinification? Malolactic fermentation? Barrel burning? ...
        Me ne frega.

        1. xlargela.. why so technical?? Just sit back, order and enjoy. Your just renting it not buying it. LOL.. I find the whole place to be excellent. And Max knows his wine too.. Just think your setting yourself up for failure with the questions to be answered. Ever have a Blind Wine Tasting??
