NOTL Wine Tour with Dinner-Suggestions?

hrosta May 14, 2008 05:07 PM

Can anyone recommend a wine tour where we would be picked up at White Oaks, taken to 3 or 4 wineries and end having dinner at the last winery? Going this weekend and would like to do this on Sunday. Since we'll be tasting we don't want to drive.

If you want to be in a group, there are lots of tours available - just google "wine tour Niagara". If you want to choose where you go and IMHO have a much better experience, hire a car and driver through any of the local car/limo services and decide where you go and when. Look for car/limo companies in St Catharine's and Hamilton - these generally have the best rates. Consider Peller as your last winery of the day and have dinner there or go to Treadwell in St Catharine's/Port Dalhousie and this will be on your way back to White Oaks.

Hire a London Cab: http://www.niagaraclassiccabs.com/. Start at Niagara College (across the street from White Oaks), then hit Chateau des Charmes and Coyote's Run in St. David's; after that, go to Queenston and head north on the Parkway to Reif and Lailey, then finally head to Peller Estates for dinner. This will give you a great cross-section of large, medium, and small wineries, and the route will give you a nice tour.
