Looking for the best Cheeseburger in LA

chout13 May 14, 2008 04:20 PM

I am looking for a really good gourmet burger. Good meat, fresh toppings, bun that is steamed on the grill with the burger. Price is not an issue. Let me know whats around.

Arnie Morton's $14 prime sirloin cheeseburger is my favorite high end burger. Lunch only, unfortunately. Available with a choice of cheeses and grilled onions and/or sauteed mushrooms. I get mine medium rare with cheddar cheese and sauteed mushrooms. (And, they'll substitute sauteed spinach for the fries if you ask, so it's almost kind of healthy, really.)

    Arnie Morton's, the Steakhouse-Beverly Hills

    Arnie Morton's the Steakhouse

I agree -- this is the burger you would make for yourself in front of the bbq if handfuls of prime hamburger at your disposal. nice char on outside and balance to red in middle. for fine cheese i like american best but to them that's "cheddar" sometimes....also like the underground cave atmosphere of the fig location.

Agree about the Figueroa location. I've actually tried (unsuccessfully, alas) to bribe them to make me a burger for dinner.
