Biloxi Seafood stand/casual restaurant

Radiosista May 14, 2008 12:06 PM

Hi my Chowhound friends,

Need to make a recommendation of a delcious - yet not fancy - casual seafood restaurant around Biloxi.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so very much!

Lil' Ray's on Courthouse Road in Gulfport- great shrimp po'boys, gumbo, crawfish, etc. Nothing fancy, just good!

Thanks for the recommendation. Anyone know of anything on the water? That would just be the icing on the cake!

Blow Fly Inn on Washington Avenue is right on the water- you can watch mullet jumping while you eat their little friends! Also there is a place called Tubby's (or something like that) down the road that is supposed to be good, but I haven't been there yet...

Both of these are in Gulfport, not Biloxi though...

Could you be referring to Tug's Wharf? It is on Magnolia Street overlooking part of the back bay area. It is relatively new -- less than a year old. We were down there about a month ago and had lunch at Tug's. My shrimp po-boy was very good.

We had dinner one evening at the 49 Lookout on Highway 49 in Gulfport. As reported in other posts, it is a very casual place. We were with a large party (more than 15) and everyone was pleased.
