  1. Dunno if it's my laptop, but that link wasn't working. If anyone else is having that issue, try this one:

That's funny, the first time I tried Pinkster's it didn't work, Now it does and yours doesn't. Just now neither worked. Perhaps if all else fails go to Mercury News food.

      1. re: wolfe

Both work for me now, earlier Pinkster's didn't work.

That is funky. Pinkster's link works now. The link I posted still does, but that could be just b/c it's still in my system's cache.

Either road, a good read. Congrats to Mr. Sushi Monster on getting published!!

Neither linked worked for me (kept looking for a secure chowhound server ?!) until I copied it and edited it to this:

But finding out the Sushi Monster's real name is like finding out Kramer's first name, knowledge we shouldn't be granted.

            1. re: Xiao Yang

But XY, it"s at the bottom of Sushi Monster list #4 for all the world to see. And who is Kramer?

                1. re: wolfe

Sushi Monster name was always on his website. In fact most hounds real names are known if there is a desire to find it. Even XY name is known, as well as mine. No hidden stuff here. Expect of Harry S Turman's S stands for nothing.

It is interesting we live only a mile apart and I have never ran into him. As soon as sushi is back on my diet I am sure I will run into him.

                  1. re: yimster

Actually ... I'm missing e-mail addresses for both Yimster and XY, just for my records and alerts list. CH doesn't make it very easy to network. Passively discourages it to some degree, I think ...

Yimster's right: There is no being coy in the digital commons. Googling my name will yield several hundred articles, and a Nexis/Lexis search will yield about 2000. That's even more than my mom wants to read. I think the people in the neighborhood who are interested know who I am and how to find me. I've been in the same canyon for 40-something years now.

                    All the best,

                    Sushi Monster

My email addy is in my profile...

I am adamant on the need for a PM function on Chowhound, but It'll probably never happen.

If you Google my real name you'll get nothing on me, but plenty on a horse jockey, a disc jockey, and a football coach.

BTW. I never eat sushi, which may be the main reason I was ignorant of your name.
