I'm thinking of heading over there on a friday night with 3 other people...do you think it will be insane to get a table?
Be forwarned: noise, children, crowds. If you are in any way bothered by these things then go with care. I personally think the food can be worth it on a good night. Not always.
If you get there by 6:30 or so there shouldn't be a wait. Anytime after that and you're looking at waiting an hour or so. Crowds seem to thin out around 9ish, but as another poster noted, then you run the risk of missing out on some specials.
It will be very busy. Last time I was there on a Friday with 4 people we went a little on the late side ( after 9) and waited about a half hour. However, they were out of a few specials by then...
Expect to wait an hour or more....
Get there right when they open (to beat out the other chowhounds) and you won't wait at all!
