What happened to the Grand Central churros?
Does anyone know what happened to the churros vendors who used to set up shop in the subway station at Grand Central?
For years I ran into them fairly reliably in the passageway between the 7 train and the 4/5/6 trains, but I haven't seen them for months. I fear they were chased away by cops checking for permits or something like that.
3 churros for a buck, with the grease leaking through the bag, crunchy and sugary... mmm, the perfect afternoon snack. I miss them.
