Although the days of every neighborhood tavern having a Friday Night Fish Fry are fading from memory, you can still find a fish fry in ebery part of town in just about any kind of setting. On the tavern/sports bar end, I like Leff's Lucky Town on State St in the old Wauwatosa village. If you want a fancier setting, the FF at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Whitnall Park is very good.

Serb Hall was good and the place is a "hoot."

I also enjoyed a fish fry at the classic Turner Hall downtown. Good food and drink served in a fascinating building.

Clifford's in Hales Corners. Hands down. No comparisons. The best.

Imagine the vibe of Serb Hall but with better food and better service. Big hall, packed with people eating family style. Rye bread, perch or haddock, cheap and strong old fashioneds.

I know it isn't Milwaukee but we love the Nashotah Club house , in Nashotah for their fish fry. Great selection from Perch, Walleye, Cod, Blue Gill plus more. AYCE for some selections. It is worth the drive.
