Any suggestions for a place to go for Farewell Drinks in the East 50's?
A co-worker of mine is leaving and I am trying to find a place in the east 50's for a group of us to go for drinks and maybe some food. Eventhough I work up in the area, I quickly head back downtown after work, so I really don't know any good places for a gathering. We do not want anything fancy- just a cool space where people can come and go, have a few drinks, eat some food, whatever....Can anybody suggest a place?

I love CBSix, but it's very small. Depending on how many people you have, it may be too cramped.
Other decent options might be Pig & Whistle, Clancy's or (ugh!) Sutton Place. It's not that I like these three bars better than CBSix, only that you may be frustrated by CB's small size.

CBSix. Small bar, decent bar food, very good beer selection.
